This rich royal blue sodalite from Namibia has veins and patches of white calcite running through. Polished on one side and raw and natural elsewhere, this tactile sodalite is large palm size and square ish in shape.
Sodalite is chloric sodium aluminium silicate, with a hardness of 5.5 - 6, and belongs to the feldspathoid group of minerals. It has a cubic lattice system and is a stone of insight and self awareness. Sometimes known as the logic stone. White calcite has similar healing qualities and is ideal for gentle spiritual awakening.
