Samhain is the point on the wheel of the year that sits between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice. It is believed that at this liminal time, the veil between our reality and the Spirit world is particularly thin, making it an ideal time to honour and connect to our ancestors, and ancestral guides. It is a traditional time for sacred ritual and ceremony, a time to weave life and death together, a time for ancient rememberance, and a time for transformation.
With this in mind I have created a crystal grid to support this ancestral connection. This is an extremely powerful grid and holds the energies of the ancestors. Connecting to this grid of crystals through channelling and meditation may support you to meet with certain ancestral guides, and receive messages and guidance. This may happen during your meditations, or following on, through your dreams, and your rememberance
The crystal grid is laid out in a square and in Sacred Geometry this represents stability, strong foundations, boundaries and protection. It also represents the four elements of Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water, and the four cardinal directions of East, South, West and North. With the 8 labradorite, a circle has formed around the square. This symbolises infinity and the cyclical nature of creation. It also symbolises unity and wholeness. 
The central focus stone is a large piece of petrified wood, a fossilised wood that has been replaced by silica and other minerals. Tree symbolises many things including life, connection, growth, strength, and communication between worlds. Petrified wood holds ancestral connection and ancient knowledge. It carries earth energies and can assist with healing old wounds that have carried down through the generations. It is a stone of transformation and regeneration. 
Surrounding the central stone are four Brandberg Quartz placed at the cardinal points. On the medicine wheel, these points have their own spirit guides and energies, with the ancestral spirits residing in the west.  Each Brandberg Quartz has an energy of its own, one has a Dow termination - connection to all that is, one a bubble - the womb and rememberance, and a phantom - soul searching, one has red hematite flecks - deep cleanse, and one is a fenster with a double termination - portal / dual directional flow. These Quartz carry ancestral energies, and powerful healing energies. They are a stone of rememberance of who we are and where we come from. 
Preselli Bluestones sit on the outer edge of the Quartz, rooting the crystal grid’s energies into Earth’s energy grid. They carry ancient wisdom and knowledge and have been sacred stones to our ancestors for thousands of years, having been used for ritual and ceremony. A stone of deep roots and long memory.
Amber sits between the Preselli Bluestone creating another square. Amber is a fossilised tree resin and holds and preserves the ancient light of the past. It carries ancient wisdom of our ancestors and lessons and experiences passed down the generations. It may be useful for clearing unwanted family patterns.
Eight Labradorite sit on the outer edge of the crystal grid forming a circle. A stone of ‘magic’ and protection, these small stones enhance the energies of the grid, and enable each of the stones to perform their role in helping you to connect to your ancestors for advice, guidance and rememberance, and inner and familial healing
When creating the grid, personal Intention can be set, and the grid can be used as a portal for meditation and/or channeling information, and intentionally connecting to your ancestors. This grid can be created in time for Samhain and left up as the wheel of the year turns slowly into shorter days and longer nights. It can be used as a semi permanent altar for honouring your ancestors
