FLUORITE

Most of the fluorite on this page is from Uis in Namibia and is a mix of stunning green and purples. There are several different colours available on the market. Fluorite is a calcium fluoride crystal with a cubic system. It is also available here as bypyramidal octahedrons that comes from Riemvasmaak, Northern Cape, S. Africa. The name fluorite derives from the Latin 'fluere' meaning 'to flow'. Fluorite becomes fluorescent under ultra-violet light.  Each piece on this page is unique with its own characteristics and features. Fluorite is ideal for therapists, healers, and all crystal lovers and collectors.
