This beautiful smokey amethyst quartz has a moving bubble in the termination. There are vibrant stacked phantoms, rich purple colouration, and red hematite flecks, strands and dots. There is a short sceptre stalk and a receiver face. The clarity is excellent allowing lots of light inwards. There are internal inclusions. A lovely Quartz to add to a collection and ideal for channelling, meditation and other healing therapies.

Chiredzi / shangaan smokey amethyst is surface mined by the indigenous Shangaan people of southeast Zimbabwe. The quartz is a fairly recent find and is unique to this area. It is gathered with simple hand tools. Chiredzi / Shangaan quartz has unusual elestial / skeletal growth features and can often be found as sceptres, which display a second growth over the top of the initial growth. Many of them are double terminated and several contain hematite and lepidocrosite inclusions, as dots and threads. There are often holes or indents penetrating the quartz and some display a fenster type growth with several layerings. Phantoms and colour zoning are common features. Metaphysical qualities These beautiful and unusual quartz have many healing qualities.
