This Hollandite Star Quartz Cluster is an extremely RARE and highly collectible quartz, which has been found in a small deposit in Madagascar and is of very limited supply. It is ethically mined and as far as I’m aware it is available from just one source. I have been incredibly fortunate in making contact with this source. However, it is highly likely they won't become available again.
 
The Hollandite within the quartz forms as tiny stars. The hollandite is a barium manganese oxide and is monoclinic and MOHs 4-6.
 
This cluster contains multiple stars,  mainly in the main point. There is a small amount of  the unusual and attractive artichoke growth of small slender points cascading upwards around the one side of the main point. The back half of the main point is not formed as it has grown and come away from something else. There is a warm soft pink hematite presence in places.
