This rare and beautiful Bastite is commonly known as Dragon Stone. This particular one is from an area in South Africa where there are hot springs. It has formed due to hydrothermal alteration. The dragon stone is a combination of epidote and piedmontite (which is also an epidote).  It has been expertly polished in a lapidary local to the area so has not covered any air miles for the process. A fabulous work of art from Mother Earth to add to a collection, and ideal for healing therapies.
