This extra large celestite geode from Madagascar is an extraordinary natural wonder from Mother Earth. From the front side of the geode are seen two separate ’caves’, one of which is open to the back, the other goes deep inside. From the back is an entrance / exit into the larger ‘cave’. This opening creates a channel for light to pass through both ’caves’, which truly brings the celestite to life, lighting up some of the individual celestite crystals. The celestite is a beautiful soft sky blue. There are rainbow flashes present. This is an exquisite specimen both physically and symbolically.  Some may see a ‘face’ in the geode’s profile, with two eyes and a jaw. 
Celestite is a strontium sulphate mineral with a hardness of 3 - 3.5, and an orthorhombic crystal system.
