This combination of quartz and epidote from the Goboboseb mountains, in the Brandberg region has grown on a matrix of host rock. The forest green epidote has the appearance of a carpet of vibrant moss, and it sits atop a micro crystalline bed of quartz. To the side sits a cluster of quartz, which fans out in a spray. There is a subtle but colourful rainbow flash in the larger point. Turn the stone over to find more quartz and epidote forming crevices. Epidote is an iron silicate mineral with a monoclinic crystal system. A lovely collectible specimen and ideal for healing therapies.
