Swaziland Jade

Swaziland Jade

SKU: JA17
£8.00Price

This earthy Swaziland Jade is not a true Jade. It is a rare variety of what is known as African Jade. A calcium aluminium silicate, with a hardness of 7 - 7.5, the Jade is a mixture of grossular garnet (a relatively recent form of garnet), serpentine and silicates, and is coloured by traces of chromium.

African Jade is often referred to as Transvaal Jade, Verdite, Buddstone and Garnet Stone. Bearing in mind, African Jade is a general term for stones from different areas of Africa, there can be a variation of the minerals within.

This raw and natural piece is mined from the top of the hills in Eswatini, and cobbed, to display it’s beautiful natural earthy green hues. It carries and represents the Earth and environment it came from.

This Swazi Jade has gentle grounding energies, and is a stone of the Green Ray, aligning with the heart. It is a stone of vitality, spiritual growth and abundance, fertility and prosperity.
